The total salary package for this position is approximately £67,129 - £76,381 ($105,951 - $120,5545 USD)* including basic salary, programme management allowance, hardship allowance and per diem.

This role is subject to the receipt of funding and a start date is to be confirmed depending on this.

MAG is seeking a Technical Operations Manager to lead technical operations in Sudan, where MAG has been working since 2006.

You will be the senior technical representative in country, responsible for leading and safely managing all mine clearance and EOD operations, as well as managing a team of international staff and multiple technical teams. Working closely with the Country Director, you will provide technical input into proposals and reports, liaise with donors, and government agencies. As a member of the Programme Senior Management Team you will need to be able to think strategically and make operational recommendations to enable MAG's work in a complex context.

You will be responsible for managing projects across geographically diverse and challenging sites and therefore you will need previous experience in a similar role, ideally managing multiple teams. A patient, tactful and diplomatic approach will be required in this challenging environment

The Technical Operations Manager will be based in Khartoum with frequent travel to MAG's operational bases

Accommodation: MAG will provide accommodation in-country.

Leave: We recognise our staff work hard and need the appropriate time out to stay motivated. You'll have a minimum of eight weeks out of the programme per year and your entitlement rises with service.
